image

I have made this recipe several times. It’s so good!

Even Frank ( the non vegan) thinks it awesome!

It’s actually one of my very favorite vegan sandwich recipes❤️

This recipe is from one of my favorite vegan food bloggers, Connoisseurus Veg.

I thought I would share it with you. It’s easy to make, doesn’t require any strange ingredients, and comes out perfect every time.

Try it. I’m sure you will be amazed at how good this Vegan French Dip Sandwich is!

Clip on the above link and you will be on your way to vegan sandwich heaven!

Oh. And by the way I’m a dipper. Frank is not a dipper,  so I steal his sauce. Yay!

Genetically Engineered Apples?! Why?!

image

Well I just found out that Artic Apples have just created the first genetically engineered apples. All I can say is WHY?!

Ok they did give a reason. Are you ready for this? So they don’t turn brown when sliced. Give me a break! I’d rather eat a real natural organic browning sliced Apple then an genetically engineered Apple any day.

Vegan Miso Stir Fry Sauce

I know I’m sending this post out kind of late in the day.?

The reason is, I just came up with a really great stir fry sauce that I wanted to share with you.

I know there are a few people out there that don’t like soy sauce or even teriyaki sauce. That seems to be the base of most stir fry sauces.

I wanted  to do a stir fry for dinner tonight and really didn’t want to use soy or teriyaki sauce.

The simply solution miso paste!

image

This is miso paste

It makes a really good sauce. You can use my recipe as a base and add to it what you like. I’m thinking almond or peanut butter.

Here is the rest of the ingredients, oh yeah I forgot to mention it’s quick, easy, and only uses five ingredients?

image

  • Miso paste- 1 tbsp
  • Rice vinegar -2 tbsp:
  • Toasted sesame oil -2 tbsp
  • Roasted sesame seeds- 1-2 tsp
  • Ground ginger- a few dashes

Directions:

Mix all ingredients in a small bowl. Adjust taste to your liking. I added a little more rice vinegar to mine.

And there you have it a quick, easy, no soy or teriyaki sauce, stir fry sauce

Hope you found this post helpful!

Give the sauce a try and let me know what you think?✌?

What Do I Eat In My Everyday Vegan Life…Good Question

I was sitting here thinking about my blog.

My Everyday Vegan Life. Hmmm?

I decided I needed to share more with you of what my everyday vegan life is like.

I was trying to think of what types of questions you may have or things you may be curious about. The first thing that popped into my head was ” maybe my readers would like to see what I eat on any given day”

A Day Of Food In My Everyday Vegan Life…

Yesterday I got up like I normally do. Went down to the kitchen and started making breakfast. Nothing out of the ordinary, just a typical breakfast I would eat.

This is what I eat for Breakfast

image

Hemp seed granola, chia seeds, black sesame seeds, walnuts, ginger, raisins, green figs, coconut cream, and unsweetened almond milk

I don’t eat at any set time. I usually let my body tell me when I need to eat.

Some  days I do intermittent fasting.

I know it sounds scary, trust me, it’s not what you think.

What it is is an eating window. You eat all your meals in an 8 hour period.

For instance if you eat your first meal at 9:00 am you don’t eat anything after 5:00 pm.

This gives your body the complete 16 hours it needs to process the food you have eaten.

You can set your own times and how often you do it. I try to go the entire week.

I feel so much better on weeks I can stick to my schedule.

Ok,ok, back onto the topic of what I eat.

So now it’s lunch time. Again this is a typical lunch thing I would eat

image

Apple slices with almond butter, ginger, chia seeds, flax seeds, and raisins

Incase you were wondering, I don’t eat the same thing everyday, every meal. These are just the meals I ate yesterday.

Next up dinner

Here I cheated alittle

imageI stopped the day before at one of my favorite vegan places in Gainesville Fl, Vegan2go. I stopped to pick up one of their awesome vegan subs and decided to get some tempeh in lemon grass sauce to bring home for dinner the next night.

I knew it was going to be a crazy night. Frank plays at a Monday Night Jam at one of the clubs near us. I knew I wouldn’t have enough time to prepare everything from scratch so I prepared ahead of time to make sure we would still have a healthy vegan meal.

I did make  brown rice and sautéed  green beans and Brussel sprouts in minced garlic and ginger, a little fresh ground black pepper, and a few pinches of sea salt

So there you have it, everything I ate on an average day in my vegan life?

If there is anything you want to know or are curious about just let me know in the comments section and I will answer your questions or do a post about it.

I want to help you see that being vegan everyday isn’t hard. The more you do it the easier it becomes. Then one magical day it just becomes your life. You wake up everyday and do it without even thinking about it .

Hope you like this post✌?

Here is the sub I got for lunch the day before…so good!
