Declutter Your Home, Your Mind, And Your Body



I haven’t been posting as much as usual the past few months.

Instead I’ve been packing and getting rid of stuff. For anyone who has moved out of a home,  you know what a daunting task it can be. Deciding what stays and what goes. What you can live without or what you could never, in a million years, get rid of.  The never get rid of always seems to be the biggest pile?

So needless to say, I’ve been pretty stressed out?  Which got me thinking how clutter and material things can control your life, and not in a good way?  Which then got me thinking even more .  Clutter isn’t just the stuff we have accumulated in out homes, it’s also the stuff we have accumulated in our lives, our minds, and our bodies.

The packing and moving of this house, as annoying as it is, has taught me a very valuable lesson. Clear out the clutter and keep it cleared!!

For your home it’s an easy fix. Just take some time to go through each room in your home, it doesn’t have to be all in one day,  and really think about the objects and stuff in it.  Can you live a happy life without it? Does it have a place in the room or is it always sitting out because there is no space for it?  If you answered yes to both of these questions, then get rid of it.  Sell it, donate it,  or give it to a friend.  Once you start you will be amazed at how easy it is.

Ok…now on to the tricky part. The decluttering of your mind.  Just think of it as your home.      The drawers and closets full of stuff that needs to go. But instead of physical objects you can see and touch these are thoughts that are cluttering up your mind.  Clear out the ones you don’t need anymore. The ones that bring you down, stress you out, make you mad, sad, unsure of yourself.  You don’t need them, you have no place or room for them, it’s time to let them go.  Make a conscious effect every morning to declutter your mind.  Tell your mind what you want to think, what kind of day you want to have.  Your thoughts become things…everyday make them happy, joyful, inspiring thoughts. Smile at yourself in the bathroom mirror every morning, it will always smile back at you?

The body? Yes you can declutter your body.  Do you ever notice how good your body feels after you have eaten a clean, healthy, whole foods meal?  It’s because your body knows where to put all the good real food nutrients you put in it.  It can go about its job breaking down and delivering these nutrients exactly where they need to go.

 Then you have those days where you kind of  don’t eat so well.  What you ate was still vegan, what I like to call vegan junk food.  You know the bag of potato chips, a frozen vegan sandwich pocket, Oreos, yes they’re vegan.  Ok…you get the point.  Although they are vegan, These foods are all processed and loaded with not so healthy ingredients and preservatives, GMOs, and who knows what else.  Your body isn’t so sure where to put or store all of this stuff.  There’s no room for it.  Some just sit in your stomach way longer then they should.  You feel sluggish, bloated, and just plan bad.  It’s all the junk you don’t need cluttering up your body.


It has no place in any aspect of our lives. It makes us stressed, tired, unhappy, and sick.

You owe it to yourself to declutter your life,  your intire life. Start living healthy, happy, and stress free.

I’m off again today to finish the packing up of my house. It will be annoying, stressful, and not fun.  When it’s  all done I will look back on it and smile.  Yes! I did this. I survived. I took away a very valuable life lesson.  I guess you could say the past few months of hell have made me a better person…inside and out ✌?

Do yourself a favore, look around your home, your pantry, and in your mind.

Is there clutter?

Get rid of it.  You don’t have to jump in and do it all at once…baby steps

 But once you do, trust me, you will be so happy ?

No Cook Vegan Breakfast For Hot Summer Days

As most of you already know, I live in Florida.

They don’t call it the sunshine state for nothing☀️

It’s hot…really hot! And it’s only going to get worse.

So to beat the heat I’ve been making healthy, no cook, vegan breakfasts.  They are turning out to be really good. Which made me think…it’s summer everywhere. I should start posting my summer breakfast recipes.

This post will be the kickoff to The Summer, No Cook, Vegan Breakfast Series !

I’m going to start with one of my very favorite recipes.

Banana Sushi 003

Hemp Granola  and Chia Seed Banana Sushi.

 It’s so easy to make and really good for you. Hemp seeds are loaded with protein.

  • one banana
  • all natural, unsalted almond butter. About 2 tbsp or enough to cover the top and sides of the banana
  • hemp granola or hemp seeds, enough to cover the top of the banana
  • chia seeds, as much as you like
  • a few dashes of ground ginger, optional

  1. peel the banana and place it on a plate
  2. cover the top and sides, as best as you can, it doesnt have to be perfect, with almond butter. This is where you would sprinkle on the ginger if using
  3. top the almond butter with hemp granola or hemp seeds, use as much as you like.
  4. sprinkle the top with chia seeds, again as much as you like
  5. press down on the topping gently with the back of a spoon or with your fingers to help them stick to the almond butter.
  6. take a butter knife and cut the banana into coins about an inch thick
  7. separate the slices a bit, just like sushi
  8. eat with chopsticks or a fork. You can also dip it in maple syrup,agave or ginger syrup if you like.

And there you have it Hemp Granola And Chia Seed Banana Sushi. Quick, easy, and satisfying.

Best of all no cooking involved in the making of this breakfast ?

Side note: you can use any type of vegan, all natural granola you like. I used hemp seed because it’s loaded with protein.

Homemade Blackberry Vegan Ice Cream


I found this recipe for the most beautiful yummy vegan ice cream and just had to share it with you?

This homemade Blackberry vegan ice cream is so easy to make. No ice cream machine required…yay!   It almost looks too pretty to eat. But on these hot summer days you can’t help but dig in!

This ice cream only requires 5 ingredients to make. It’s so much healthier than the store bought vegan ice cream. No strange ingredients you can pronounce or have no idea what they are. Just simple ingredients that everyone knows.

Easy Home Made Cold Brewed Coffee


With temperatures rising, I don’t need any more heat☀️

Now is the perfect time of year for some nice cold brewed coffee!

I’m so glad I found this recipe. It’s so easy and tastes great. So much cheaper then a run to the local coffee shop or purchasing already made cold brewed coffee at the  super market.

Oh, and do t worry, you don’t need one of those fancy coffee presses either.

I like to drink mine with a little So Delicious Coconut Creamer, vanilla flavor and a half a teaspoon of coconut sugar, in a glass with Ice cubes…Yum!

I follow the ratio that is suggested in the recipe and it works great for me. You could always change it up depending on who weak or strong you like your coffee.

You should give this a try. I think, at least I hope, you will really like it.

Calcium, protein and other vitamins are important to good health.

Luckly there are so many ways to get the the nutrients you need while living the vegan lifestyle.

I discovered this really great  resource guide that shows which foods you should be eating on a daily basis. It’s easy to follow. The guide is broken down into categories. So if you know you are lacking in, say calcium, you can go right to that section and find all the amazing foods  you need to add to your diet.  You may be happy to discover that a lot of the foods in the guide you are already eating. If there are several foods you are not eating…no worries just make a conscious effort to add them to your diet.

Cooking For A Group Of Non Vegans, Is It Hard? Not At All !

The other night I hosted a Norwex Party at my home.

Ok, I know what your thinking…What the heck is Norwex?! ?

Its this great Norwegian company that makes healthy, chemical free, safe for our bodies and our home cleaning products.

Party Food

Ok, back to preparing food for a group of non vegans.  It’s not hard at all. All you have to do is think about types of food everyone, vegan and non vegan, likes. When you look at it that way it makes it a lot easier.

I started with the dessert type of food first. Chocolate chip cookies. Everybody loves cookies right?!  Vegan chocolate chip cookies taste just as good, if not better then regular ones. So you can’t go wrong.

Next I thought about typical party type food.  Chips and dip and chips and salsa.  I put a little twist on the chips and dip. I made an awesome Tahini and Agave dip, but instead of chips I used sliced red and green apples.  For the chips and salsa I used vegan tortilla chips and made Cowboy Caviar which is so much better then regular old salsa.

I also put out some diced watermelon and the shaker of Chili Lime seasoning so people could spice up their watermelon if they wanted to.

For the main dish I made Sun Dryed Tomato, Spinach and Basil pinwheels.

Everyone couldnt believe it was all vegan. My boyfriends sister, who is non vegan, booked a Norwex show and said she wanted me to make all the food for it.

So see, With a little thought you can easily make food that both vegans and non vegans will love.
