I haven’t been posting as much as usual the past few months.
Instead I’ve been packing and getting rid of stuff. For anyone who has moved out of a home, you know what a daunting task it can be. Deciding what stays and what goes. What you can live without or what you could never, in a million years, get rid of. The never get rid of always seems to be the biggest pile😏
So needless to say, I’ve been pretty stressed out😳 Which got me thinking how clutter and material things can control your life, and not in a good way😠 Which then got me thinking even more . Clutter isn’t just the stuff we have accumulated in out homes, it’s also the stuff we have accumulated in our lives, our minds, and our bodies.
The packing and moving of this house, as annoying as it is, has taught me a very valuable lesson. Clear out the clutter and keep it cleared!!
For your home it’s an easy fix. Just take some time to go through each room in your home, it doesn’t have to be all in one day, and really think about the objects and stuff in it. Can you live a happy life without it? Does it have a place in the room or is it always sitting out because there is no space for it? If you answered yes to both of these questions, then get rid of it. Sell it, donate it, or give it to a friend. Once you start you will be amazed at how easy it is.
Ok…now on to the tricky part. The decluttering of your mind. Just think of it as your home. The drawers and closets full of stuff that needs to go. But instead of physical objects you can see and touch these are thoughts that are cluttering up your mind. Clear out the ones you don’t need anymore. The ones that bring you down, stress you out, make you mad, sad, unsure of yourself. You don’t need them, you have no place or room for them, it’s time to let them go. Make a conscious effect every morning to declutter your mind. Tell your mind what you want to think, what kind of day you want to have. Your thoughts become things…everyday make them happy, joyful, inspiring thoughts. Smile at yourself in the bathroom mirror every morning, it will always smile back at you😊
The body? Yes you can declutter your body. Do you ever notice how good your body feels after you have eaten a clean, healthy, whole foods meal? It’s because your body knows where to put all the good real food nutrients you put in it. It can go about its job breaking down and delivering these nutrients exactly where they need to go.
Then you have those days where you kind of don’t eat so well. What you ate was still vegan, what I like to call vegan junk food. You know the bag of potato chips, a frozen vegan sandwich pocket, Oreos, yes they’re vegan. Ok…you get the point. Although they are vegan, These foods are all processed and loaded with not so healthy ingredients and preservatives, GMOs, and who knows what else. Your body isn’t so sure where to put or store all of this stuff. There’s no room for it. Some just sit in your stomach way longer then they should. You feel sluggish, bloated, and just plan bad. It’s all the junk you don’t need cluttering up your body.
It has no place in any aspect of our lives. It makes us stressed, tired, unhappy, and sick.
You owe it to yourself to declutter your life, your intire life. Start living healthy, happy, and stress free.
I’m off again today to finish the packing up of my house. It will be annoying, stressful, and not fun. When it’s all done I will look back on it and smile. Yes! I did this. I survived. I took away a very valuable life lesson. I guess you could say the past few months of hell have made me a better person…inside and out ✌🏻
Do yourself a favore, look around your home, your pantry, and in your mind.
Is there clutter?
Get rid of it. You don’t have to jump in and do it all at once…baby steps
But once you do, trust me, you will be so happy 😄
